Brandon Alexander

Brandon AlexanderA native of Houston, Texas, Mr. Alexander trained under Lori Amare before attending the Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy on full scholarship.

Additionally, Mr. Alexander has attended the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, Houston Ballet, The Rock School, and the Harid Conservatory summer intensives, on full scholarship.

In 2005, Mr. Alexander was invited to join Houston Ballet II where he performed works by Stanton Welch, Ben Stevenson, August Bournonville, and Sir Kenneth McMillan and performed with the Houston Ballet in their annual production of The Nutcracker.

In August 2006, Mr. Alexander joined the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago as an apprentice. With the Joffrey he performed roles such as the Yellow Boy in Arpino's Confetti, a Young Man in Antony Tudor's Offenbach in the Underworld, and various roles in Robert Joffrey's The Nutcracker. In addition, he has also performed in the ballets of Jose Limon, Sir Frederick Ashton, Patrick Corbin, Leonide Massine, as well as a world premiere by Mark Goldwebber.

A Rochester City Ballet company member since 2008, he has danced in Hoedown and Bravo! Colorado at CMAC with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, as the Mouse King and Spanish in The Nutcracker, as Peter in Peter and the Wolf, the Evil Kastchei in Firebird and has been featured in Ms. Leverett’s LumaVoce.

In the spring of 2009, Mr. Alexander was chosen along with RCB apprentice Courtney Catalana, as one of 24 couples worldwide, to compete in the prestigious New York International Ballet competition.
