Katie Lally

Katie LallyMs. Lally trained at the Draper Center for Dance Education and joined the Rochester City Ballet in 2001. Her most notable solo roles with RCB include the Harlequin, and English Toffee in The Nutcracker, as a featured soloist in Jamey Leverett’s Respect and as the Autumn Fairy in RCB’s Cinderella.

Additionally, she has appeared in Push and Pull, Pedestal, A Common Thread, LumaVoce, Firebird and Don Quixote.

She was chosen by guest choreographer Edward Ellison to dance the lead role of Carmen in the world premiere of his critically acclaimed Carmen.

With her sister Tara, Ms. Lally performed Inner Voices at the opening night gala of CMAC in Canandaigua, NY in 2006.

In the summers of 2008 & 2009, she was a featured performer in Hoedown, at CMAC, with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

Ms. Lally was a finalist at the Youth American Grand Prix and performed Ms. Leverett’s Hoedown at the YAGP gala at Lincoln Center. While at the YAGP competition she was chosen to receive a full scholarship to the Alvin Ailey summer intensive which she attended.

Additionally, she received a full scholarship to the Chautauqua Festival Dancer summer intensive.
