FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Rochester City Ballet To Perform Peter and the Wolf ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th, the Rochester City Ballet will perform Sergei Prokofiev’s children’s classic, Peter and The Wolf at the Nazareth College Arts Center, located at 4245 East Avenue. Tickets for this year’s performances are on sale now. Guests will enjoy special pre-performance events in the lobby starting at 1:15 p.m. Beginning at 2 p.m., RCB will perform the children’s classic as the audiences enjoys updated sets, costumes and choreography. “We’re very excited about the addition of this performance,” said RCB artistic director Jamey Leverett. “We wanted to expand our season to offer dance enthusiasts, as well as parents looking for entertainment for their children, an entertainment option during the winter months.” Sergei Prokofiev created the music of Peter & The Wolf as a child’s introduction to orchestra. A different instrument represents each character: Peter by the strings, the bird by the flute, the duck by the oboe, the cat by the clarinet, the wolf by the horns, and so on. The cast includes RCB company members Gabe Davidson (Brighton) as Peter, Jordan Drew (Penfield) as the Wolf, Megan Kamler (Inrondequoit) as the Bird, Bailey Fantauzzo (Greece) as the cat, Fidel Orrillo (Rochester) as the Grandfather, and Kirsten Schwartz (Pittsford), Courtney Catalana (Pittsford), Katie Keifer (Walworth), Beth Rodbell (Pittsford), Sarah Hillmon (Pittsford), Kaitlin Gravante (Rochester) as Hunters. The Rochester City Ballet (RCB), founded in 1987, is a non-profit, educational corporation.
